Job DescriptionThe Project Engineer Designer is responsible for the independent design and technical evaluation of fire suppression and fire alarm systems. This role applies engineering judgment to determine system configurations, interpret fire protection codes and standards, develop compliant system designs, and provide technical support to project teams. The position is accountable for the technical accuracy of assigned projects and supports system commissioning, inspections, and documentation efforts.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of technical experience in the fire protection industryWorking knowledge of fire protection codes and standardsAbility to analyze building conditions and apply technical standards to system designAbility to interpret technical documentation and project specificationsStrong technical communication and documentation skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and other business softwareValid driver's license with a clean driving recordNICET certification or progress toward certification preferredKey ResponsibilitiesDesign fire suppression, fire alarm, and life safety systemsDevelop and update system design drawings, including as-built revisionsEvaluate field conditions and determine required design modificationsInterpret codes and standards to ensure system complianceReview inspection findings and recommend corrective design actionsConduct site evaluations and provide technical project supportAssist with system startup, commissioning, inspections, and preventive maintenanceCreate operation and maintenance manuals and project closeout documentationCoordinate design requirements with internal and external project teamsParticipate in manufacturer training programs and stay current on industry best practicesBenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchAnnual bonus and profit-sharing opportunitiesEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (discounted company stock)Generous paid time offWellness and fitness programsLeadership development and training opportunitiesCareer growth and advancement opportunitiesAdditional family-focused benefits and insurance coverage
